Chapter 6

Today’s lunch consisted of beef stir-fry noodles, homemade special sauce, and some garden-grown salads. At first glance, it’s also quite attractive!

As Anna was having lunch, a group of students approached. There were three of them: one blonde, one brown and one black. At this moment, the blonde girl approached Anna with a smile and introduced herself.

“Hi Anna, I’m Daisy, this is Claira and Smith.” The blonde girl pointed at the black-haired and the brown-haired girl, respectively.

Suddenly being greeted by other students, Anna was a little happy. She also smiled, raised her hand and waved back, her beautiful face lit up in an instant.

“Hi guys, I’m Anna, you can call me Ann too.”

“Haha, hi Ann.” Black-haired Claira walked up to Anna, then looked again at the food that Anna had brought herself, and said, “Wow, is this your homemade food? That looks delicious!”

Anna was praised by others. She shyly lowered her head, “No, it’s just normal food. If you guys like it, I’ll let you guys try it next time!”

“How is that? Can’t you eat it now?” Brown-haired Smith looked at Anna, but Anna sensed that she was not well-intentioned.

“Hmm, no, it’s because I’m in the middle of eating, it’s fine if I give it to you guys but I think you guys don’t like it.” Anna was afraid that the three of them would misunderstand, and hurriedly explained.

At this moment, Daisy took a step forward to look at Anna. Daisy was the most beautiful of the three, although still losing to the sophisticated Anna, Daisy was more inclined to wild beauty.

“We’ll have a group study this afternoon after school. Do you want to come with us, Anna?” Daisy smiled friendly.

“Hmm, afternoon after school?” Anna thought for a moment. Maybe she got a break this afternoon. “Okay, maybe I’m free this afternoon, so where do you study?”

“In the school library. The library is always open until evening. We can study there.” Daisy sat down next to Anna, her eyes fixed on Anna.

“Ok, let’s meet there then.” Anna nodded, jotting down a line in her lovely pink notebook.

In the afternoon, the wind is cool; it is not sunny; the air is gentle.

Anna went to the library, sat down at a table by the window, and picked up the books from the table.

Now, about half an hour from the meeting time, Anna wants to come early to visit the library of the most prestigious school in this city.

The Medrano school library is divided into three separate sections, in which Anna is sitting in the third section, for 10th grade students.

Because the school is donated by wealthy parents, the equipment is also very expensive and modern. For example, air conditioners also have over ten units in a room, still the latest type. Wooden tables and chairs are anti-termite, painted very durable.

Anna flipped through a row of books on Human Psychology and picked one up, concentrating on it.

Just like that, an hour passed. Anna now discovered that the sky had changed color. When she looked at the clock, it was past the scheduled time for the afternoon group, but Anna looked around the room once, and there was still no sign of Daisy’s group.

Anna doesn’t have Daisy’s phone number, so she can’t call Daisy at all. What to do?

Anna thought for a moment, continued waiting for Daisy. In the meantime, she would skim the other book. If there was time left, finish the homework assigned by the teacher.

An hour, two hours passed. It was evening, but Daisy still hadn’t appeared. Anna sighed. She cleaned up her books and went to the bathroom to put on some makeup.

At night, the library is quite deserted. Sometimes only two or three people are seen looming behind the rows of books. Anna walked, hoping not to disturb the other students.

Standing in front of the mirror, she combed her hair with a comb, her golden hair curled. Suddenly, the sound of the locked door resounded in the quiet space. This sound was clear.

“Who’s that!?” Anna turned, shouted.

But before she could turn around, a sack covered her head, obscuring her upper body. Powerful punches took turns hitting Anna, the pain making her dumbfounded.

'Who is that? Why did they hit me? I'm not harming anyone, am I?' Anna wondered in her head, the painful kick repeatedly shoving into her small abdomen.

“Listen! Stay away from Brandon! If you dare to go near him, the consequences will be huge!"

At this moment, the voice of a woman suddenly resounded. From the tone of voice, Anna guessed that this person was a year or two older than her, but Anna hadn't done anything to Brandon, were these people mistaken?

“Brandon told you guys to come to beat me up?” Anna struggled to speak, her voice weak and powerless.

'What if it's Brandon?' Anna thought.

'If Brandon employed someone to beat me just because I accidentally touched his hand, then Brandon is too much! Wasn't he already ridiculing me? Similarly, I promised to try to stay away from him as much as possible, didn't I?'

“Huh? Brandon? No! Someone who enjoys Brandon!”

The other woman answered aggressively, saying this, she kicked Anna's head with a painful bang.

“Oops, stop it, stop it, I've never been near Brandon!” Anna shouted, hair falling out in a mess, her beautiful face stumbling more than ever, "Brandon hates me too, he doesn't even want me to handle his body!"

"Really?" One of the girls in the crowd stop beating Anna, and at the same time, she signaled the other girls to stop following.

“Everything I say is true!” Anna whispered back, "If you don't believe it, you can ask Brandon!"
