Jade followed Caelan into the castle but noticed that he didn't head to the living room. Instead, he went to the yard.

Sitting by the pond, Kennedy was dressed casually, wearing a fisherman's hat and looking deeply engrossed in fishing. When he saw Jade and Caelan approaching, he gestured to them from across the pond, signaling for them to come slowly so they would not startle the fish.

The sunlight was intense, giving Kennedy a slightly flushed complexion, but he seemed to be in good spirits.
