After killing more than ninety percent of the protectors, the moon goddess finally lost it.

She cursed him and the lycans that they would die a horrible death if they ever came into contact with the blood of a Protector.

That didn't stop him from sending out men to kill the rest of the Protectors but they all died as soon as the blood touched their skin.

At that time, he didn't think too much of it as there were no longer Protectors which meant that shifters wouldn't have to worry about coming into contact with their blood.

But everything had changed and he had a big reason to worry as he was now close and mated to one.

He sighed deeply one more time and then he turned and walked outside of the bathroom and into his room.

He headed straight to his closet and changed into comfortable clothes before coming out back into the room.
