Chapter 34 The tension between father and son

Natasha hurried into the general ward and found Jack lying on a sickbed, the middle-aged principal sitting on the stool beside him.

Jack stretched a grin from ear to ear as he spotted his mother. He had been upset with her since last night and pretended to be sick. He knew his mother would rush to him.

"Mommy," he squealed and sat up.

The principal also peeled his eyes off his phone and looked in the direction where Jack was looking. He got to his feet and said courteously, "Hello, Miss Moore."

"Hello, Sir. Thank you so much for bringing him here." Natasha's gaze was full of gratitude and guilt. "And I apologize for not being able to attend your calls. I accidentally broke my phone."

"No problem." The principal smiled, his tone as forgiving as his gentle gaze. "The doctor has already checked him. There are only some minor issues. He suggested keeping him here for a few hours for observation."
