After Reese closed from work for that day, she didn’t bother to go and inform Axel she wasn’t going because she didn’t know what temptation might do to her if she stayed in a closed room with him again.

As she made her way to the building’s exit, she let out a frustrated breath. She would have to take the bus home just like she did when she was going to work in the morning.

Zayn didn’t come to pick her up, and she wondered why he didn’t make an attempt to pick her up last Friday.

Tugging her phone out of her bag, she decided to put a call through to him and ask why he didn’t make an attempt to drop her off at work last Friday and pick her up.

She dialed his number, and he picked up on the first ring.

"Hey Heiress." He said it from the other end of the phone. "I am surprised that you are calling me."

"Why should you be surprised?" She chuckled softly. "Aren’t we friends?"

"We are friends, but I believe Mr. Griffin would get mad if he learned that you are talking to me right now."
