Chapter 23: Risky Offer - Part 2

"Hello," she said with a frown but before the other person on the other side of the call could respond Ruth screamed.

The phone slipped from her hand and fell on the bed. She climbed the bed and tapped her mother on the side. She was very weak and bleeding from her ears.

"Mum, Mum, please wake up," she cried

She opened her eyes briefly and closed it again. Ruth quickly searched her phone. She ended the call from the unknown number and dialled Cassandra's number

"Please help me, my mum," she cried

In less than five minutes, Cassandra arrived at the apartment. She entered the house to find Ruth on the bed with her mother who was very weak and bleeding from the ears. The ambulance arrived shortly and the paramedics knocked on the door. Cassandra answered the door and allowed them in.

Mrs Brown was sent to the hospital immediately. Ruth was pacing up and down the waiting area as Mrs Brown was in the emergency room. Cassandra was sitting on the provided seat with her hand in her palm.
