Chapter 51: Sister's Meet

"What do you want from me? I confessed to him," she said

"Good girl," he said and ended the call before she could make any request

She cried calling him back but he won't answer.

"No!" she cried dropping herself to the ground.

She lay on the floor crying her eyes out. This is not how she had planned things to go. How did it all come to this?

Later that evening, after 9 pm, Gustave came to visit Nick. He knew his friend better than anyone. He knew how much he truly loved Ruth but the prom night incident made him relapse. With Ruth, he was becoming a better person and recovering from what happened with Jenny and now because of Katherine he had gone back to that terrible lifestyle.

"Leave me alone," Nick said as soon as Gustave entered the study

"Nick, life would throw so many things at you, good or bad, how they impact you is a decision you make," he said and they both heard a knock on the door
