Asher’s POV

I stared at him for what seemed like an eternity, then I decided to pretend I heard him just to hear how he intended on doing that, so I said. “Fine, let's hear your genius idea.”

Gary straightened in his seat, his smirk slipping and turning serious. “Remember the Henderson account?” he asked me and I clapped my hands together mentally.

Of course, that was what this was about. I should have known he wouldn’t be offering friendship if there wasn’t something behind the offer. He had seen an opportunity and he had seized it, using the fact that I had just hit him not long ago, and the fact that my wife worked for him as a chance.

“Yes, Gary. What about the Henderson account?” I asked, feigning ignorance. Ignorance they say was bliss even though I knew it was for a short while in this case. I was sure Gary would explain what he meant, let me see where he was going.

“Good! Remember my proposal on working on the account together? How I said we should…”
