One Hundred and Twenty Seven

May’s POV

I sat down in the car with Brent, looking outside the window, with my arms folded across my chest, and thinking. I was back to thinking about what I might have seen, but I wasn’t doing that alone now, I was doing it with Brent.

For some reason, we had both thought that there might have been something we saw that we didn't remember or think too much about back then because of the heat of the moment.

“I think I remember seeing a man being dragged out of the party by the door because he was trying to use an invite that had been used before by someone. I remember collecting the invite, but I didn't check it.” Brent said, and I glanced at him sharply.

“Why didn’t you look at it? Where is it?” I asked.

He shook his head and said. “Well, for all we know, it might not be related to what we're looking for, I just thought to mention it because it was odd that someone was trying to get into a party he wasn’t invited to, just to come spend some money, seeing as it was that kind of event
