Sorah’s POV.- “You’re all dismissed.” “Yes ma’am.” Sighing, I relax tiredly into the comfort of the leather swivel chair I’m sitting on and listen to the collective sound of feet filing out of my office. Shutting my eyes briefly and reopening them, I twirl a bit away from the exhausting documents strewn over my desk. My eyes expand with astonishing surprise to catch the gradual shower of tiny white dots outside the window. The first snow of the year. Sorah’s POV.- “Hey, Upma” As my greeting flies from my lips, everything goes still suddenly, filling the air with tension for whatever danger is forthcoming. But it’s only a norm for me as I remain in wait for it to show itself. Swiftly, the branch rattles rigorously, raining leaves, droplets of rainwater, and tiny shrapnels which lasts only for a second before a huge black blur zips out of the cover of the leaves and smaller branches. My eyes follow the blur as it lands on the ground, and I smile widely when I meet deep black orbs staring back at me. Sorah’s POV.- I kick the torturous heels off my aching feet once I get in, not caring whatever direction in the dimly lit living room they fly to, and I scamper towards the kitchen. Along my gait, I notice something in the dim place and stop to squint my eyes to see a distinct dark mass occupying a spot on the rug in the living room. Oh, it’s just Upma. It can only be him anyway, no one else enters here. I continue to the kitchen where it’s a little brighter from the light of the moon outside that filters in through the open white curtains.
