Chapter Forty-Eight.

Sorah’s POV.

Reluctantly, with pain in my heart, I let his hand slip out of mine to rush out of the room before I change my mind and go running back into his arms. As I hasten through the hallway, I adjust the scarf I set around my shoulders to properly cover the holes in my neck. I’m too weak to heal them yet.

I suddenly stop and touch the throbbing spot, permitting images of the recent scene to flash through my mind. I’d offered myself to heal the man I love, not once thinking about the threat to my life. The more he drank from me, the stronger he bulked until he crushed me in his arms and was on the verge of consuming my last breath.

I can only hope against all odds, that my blood will not be refuted and it can do excellently to heal him fully and return him to the vile Vampire my heart beats for.

Andreas, forgive me for leaving your side and defying your command that I shouldn’t go.
