Vincent's warning kept ringing in my head until Balthazar decided to stop the training because I couldn't concentrate. I still feel irritated by her words because I think of all people, she is the one who understands my reasoning the best.

"Do I look that weak?!" I grumbled angrily as I followed him up the stairs to the third floor. Balthazar didn't answer me, so I continued my grumbling again. "He thought I was going to fall in love with Dimitri that easily. After all, he himself supported Alex and his plan to pretend to leave me!"

This time Balthazar responded to me with a sigh.

"Even though he really hated Alex before." I clenched my fists tightly, still following Balthazar through the hall to his library.

"Maybe he thinks Alex is much better than Dimitri Stratovsky" Balthazar replied calmly.
