He frowned in frustration  at the meagre result of his finding, but at the same time asking himself why can’t he not just let go of the case. If chief Jacob Nielsen only left me in peace, he probably would have shredded the paper himself. But the chief hadn’t. He'd given him the direct order to let the case go; therefore he was unable  to.

Even as a boy his mother  would  give him reminders to stay out of trouble but coming back home with bruises from fighting. His father new him as well, he would tell him never to try the shooting booth in the carnival but the more he challenge himself to do it. His father would give explicit  order not to involve himself with this and that lass but the more he will go after them. That’s who he is. No one was going to make his decisions for him, which actually made him easy to manipulate  and he wonder if Chief Jacob Nielsen  knew
