Lyra's POV

The prom was in full swing, the ballroom adorned with twinkling lights and a sea of colorful gowns and sharp suits. As Adam and I glided across the dance floor, we were lost in each other's company. The soft strains of the music filled the air as we moved in perfect harmony, our laughter mingling with the melody.

As we twirled, Adam gazed at me with adoration, his eyes sparkling with affection. "Do you like the dress I got for you?" he asked, a hint of nervousness in his voice.

My eyes lit up as I looked down at the flowing gown. "It's perfect, Adam. I love it," I replied, my smile radiant.

"You look perfect in it," Adam whispered, pulling me closer.
