Cullen’s POV

“Hey baby, I have my own room,” I tell Mable over the phone.

“Soundproofed?” she asks.

“Nah, but see, my parents' room is, so as long as we are super quiet until they go to bed, it’s fine,” I smile into my cell phone, waiting for her response.

“You know when I turn 18, I am eligible for a packhouse dorm,” she is teasing me.

“Yeah, have you applied?” I ask.

“Yeah, and a messenger just brought letters from the Alpha’s office,” I hear that beautiful smile.

“What do they say?” I ask, biting my lip.

“Oh, I haven’t opened it yet, my phone rang, it was the man I love, so I took the call,” Mable giggles.

“I love you too,” I say, waiting to see if she meant to say it or if it was a slip of the tongue.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t say it in the hallway earlier. You really threw me off,” Mable’s smile has fallen, I can hear it.

“I know, it was sudden,” I tell her. “But the important thing is that you have said it now and we both love each other. So wanna sneak over here and help me break in
