“What the heck did you just say?” Rowan raged as he looked at me, and my body becomes alarmed and shaken with fear. No, no, I didn’t want Rowan to see this and see me with Paxton! This was all a mess. “Rowan, I can explain,” but I was cut off by Paxton’s laughter.

“So, you are the big bad billionaire who wants my girl. News flash, she is having my baby,” Paxton added as his hands were still on my wrist.

God, I felt so humiliated. “Rowan, it’s not true. Let me just explain.”

Rowan noticed my struggle as his eyes glared at Paxton’s hands, which were held tight around my wrist. “Let her go,” Rowan called, looking at Paxton for the first time, his eyes filled with so much rage about to burst out.

“And why would I do that?”

“You are on private property, and I will have you arrested right now for forced harassment,” Rowan called, and that scared Paxton enough to loosen his grip.

Rowan marched forward, took my hand in his, gave no words to Paxton, and took me to the car. “I’m not going
