Ellie's POV

Exactly as I had expected, the whole council members were seated when Lorraine and I entered the chamber. Their eyes darted toward us instantly. I hate them all, all of them.

As a matter of fact, their presence doesn't matter to me. I was here because the Queen had demanded my presence not because I wanted to be here.

I have no remorse for not telling Lorraine who her parents were from the initials, I know she thinks I'm the bad person here. Lol!

It was going to be hard telling her it was all for her good, for her safety and it was all her mother's plan to begin with. She'd never believed she wasn't alone all these while, that the person she thought had adopted her didn't actually adopt her, she was her mother's nanny who had promised to look after her.
