Gideon POV

" What is going on here?" I asked, my eyes landing on my mate who was weeping but made no sound.

She was walking away, stumbling on her way. I could tell that something hurt her from the intense pain reflected in her forest green eyes.

My heart clenched and I felt a pang of pain hit it, making me frown.

It was so painful and I fought the urge to clutch my chest.

I guess those were my mate's emotions hitting me through the bond.

I am able to feel Maya's emotions but she can't feel my own since her wolf is yet to recognize the bond between us.

My mate walked away while I watched.

I wanted to follow her but first, I needed to understand why she was sad and hurt.

" Brianna, I am asking you a question!" My voice had restrained anger. I hate it when I ask a question and nobody seems to pay attention.
