Dominic held her hands, understanding that she was more in pain, feeling heartbroken from the pain that he felt. He soothed her, “I know you are worried but I wasn’t acting tough.”

“I know,” she whispered slowly, “You are used to feeling the pain but you should be aware of the pain, it could have gotten more dangerous.”

Dominic softened the corners of his lips, “I promise I will.”

Rose then settled beside him, pouring all her focus on his wound and making sure to help him in every steps of his recovery.

Anna didn’t wake up until the morning came, leaving Andrius to bring her asleep to the ship. Meanwhile Cain had told a few of his soldier to take care of the matter in the castle.

Although injured, Dominic had stood up the next morning, looking unfazed by the wound and poison running to the stream of his blood.

“Shawn would take this opportunity to overthrow my position I’m certain,” Dominic responded. “But before my father come back home I should have plenty of time to stay there.”
