Finding Power

Rose rarely hear such tone from Dominic. There was a sense of loneliness that she could feel from him. She wondered what he had dreamt only to remember their conversation not long ago where he said he always dreamt of his past.

She looked at his face. In her heart, she questioned. What had made Dominic ask for her wish? She knows he would always want to fulfill her wish but this time it was strange. She could feel how desperate he was.

“What nightmare was it?” Rose whispered her words again, letting the ocean wind to float her voice to his ears.

“You,” Dominic lifted his face to look at her, “I dreamt of a time where I lose you.”

“You will never lose me. That was a dream, Dominic,” she whispered, wrapping her hands around his shoulder snugly. “Is that why you asked for my wish?”

Dominic hummed. Truth to be told what he had dreamt was different. Indeed Rose had left him but that was all on her own wish. She didn’t disappear from him, she had decided to leave him.
