Unashamed Statement

Rose lips were ready to deny his words. It was a decision she had made to stay with Dominic, regardless of anything. After being threatened by Lady Ashely, she knew the risk of staying beside him but despite it all, Rose rather stay beside him than to leave him then regret for her entire life.

She didn't want to imagine Dominic wounded in a place far away from her.

But Dominic appeared to be adamant on giving her a choice to leave his side. It was as though he was certain that after knowing his secret, she would be scared of him and leave him.

She held his hand that was much larger than her. The fingers that always bore a shattering strength was now gentle when it touched her skin. The way his attitude would always saunter mildly on her wrist felt special to Rose.

She showed him a smile, "Alright."

Dominic had smiled when looking at her but Rose couldn't see anymore what expression settled on his face. Whether it was surprise that had caused his lips to stop raising, she didn't know.
