I decided to take that shower once everyone left. I exited the bathroom to see Creed standing by the long window. He turned to look at me, his eyes darkening and his heartbeat quickening. I held my towel tighter around me and cleared my throat. "I thought you left."
He shut his eyes tightly and released a breath. When he opened them again they were back to green. He started to walk slowly towards me with his hands behind his back. "I'm still mad at you for the wolfsbane injection," I found myself taking a step back with each step he took towards me, my own heartbeat erratic while I tried to work out what he was doing, "it hurt like a bitch princess." It had been three days since our trip to Phoenix. It felt good to see Kris again. Creed and I never spoke about what our relationship meant after that day. I knew his reasons for trying not to get too close to me but every time I saw him I felt my body gravitate to him.
