Lessia's POV

I couldn't get my mind off him trying to kiss me. Even as we ate breakfast together on the table, I kept looking at his calm exterior, wondering, just how exactly it was that under such calm sea was a man fighting so much with himself.

It was unbelievable to know that he wanted to kiss me and have me to himself, as much as I wanted him too. The thought of it was exhilarating as well as it was scary.

His eyes were down, watching his plate, eating as I watched just how he chewed, how he used his cutlery, and how he drank water every time he wanted to wash down the food he had eaten down his stomach.

Was it really possible that this man wanted me the same way I wanted him?

All of a sudden his eyelids flicked up, and we were in each other's gaze, holding each other's eyes.

"Ehehm," he cleared his throat. "You seem to not be hungry. You will not get full, either way, if you keep staring at me like I am the food."
