Chapter 57: The Second Person
Haylee rushed out of the penthouse and didn't look back at all. She avoided any eye contact with Niel and pretended to act normally. She could sense Niel was eyeballing her in restlessness.
"Why is she in a rush anyway? Did someone was waiting for her at the foyer?" Niel mumbled alone. He couldn't stand the uneasiness, thus he went to take his wallet and his phone as well and went out of the penthouse to spy on Haylee.
"I'll be back in about twenty minutes," he told the chefs before he left.
Haylee arrived at the ground floor. As soon after the VIP elevator door was opened, she walked speedily to the front desk of the building. Anna was looking through her phone when Haylee reached her.
"Hi," She bravely greeted Anna. Anna was indeed a bit older than her, maybe around the same age as the penthouse chefs. Yet, Haylee had the courage to talk casually to her, probably because all Niel's subordinates treated her respectfully like a little Madam.
