Chapter 63: The Grandstand
The next day, Haylee went to school as usual. She didn't want to think much about what Ben said to her last night after dinner. She had checked her bank account. It was true that a thousand dollars had been transferred to her bank account last Friday, proving that Ben was telling her the truth about the school allowance.
Yet, she went on with her decision on not using Niel's money and continued to find a part-time job as she had planned before. She walked to the school field during recess time, trying to find someplace to be alone. There was a new grandstand built beside the field and the chairs were all new.
