“You’ve been acting weird for two days. Are you having a fight with Violette?” Varg asked as we sat on a double stone near the ring.

“There is nothing like that.”

Varg rolled his eyes. “Don’t take me for a fool. If you are okay with her, you won’t be spending your time chatting with me.”

Right. After the accident two days ago, I avoided Violette like the plague. I woke up at dawn and trained with Varg. Then I’d return when she was already sleeping. We weren’t fighting, by the way. I was just embarrassed after what I did to her.
