Chapter 19

Cassandra's POV

"I hope I get this done quickly and go check up on my children," I sighed as I made my way out of a storehouse.

Ever since Doctor Marcus said that I was overdriving my children's senses, I stopped carrying them to every job and only left them in the restaurant all day. It wasn't too much of a change of location.

"Mrs Savannah, I'm done," I announced to the fat woman before me as I placed a pile of cartons on the floor beside her like she requested.

My third job was a manual job in a big factory. All I had to do was carry cartons out of the storehouse to whatever place they ordered me to.

"Good one, now I need you to bring twenty cartons and place them in that van," she replied and turned away to give instructions to other workers.

"Mrs Savannah, I'm supposed to be done for the day," I protested.

I really respected her a lot and didn't mind bringing twenty cartons more but it would make me get back to my kids even later. I needed to be done quickly so that I could have
