I was on the sole side of the conference table, closer to the door, and tied to a chair. I should be trying to free myself but my heart skipped twenty beats and I was losing my mind.

Kane was the closest to me on the right side, with a council member between us. F*ck, they were council members.

Cannon was the farthest from me but on Kane’s side, and Ian would have been at the center if he was on the right. Their hairstyles had slightly changed, and they looked much more built than before. Especially Ian. Ian had changed the most but Kane looked like a whole meal right now.

Cannon was in blue casual wear and Kane was in what I last saw in him—so was Ian. Wait, I thought Ian was banished. What was he doing here? Their scents were choking my nostrils so I had to open my mouth to breathe.

“Welcome back, Ms. Katrina.”

The one directly opposite me spoke, being the leader—old hag—I couldn’t forget his face either.
