I closed the shower and screwed the towel around my hips as I ran another one over my wet hair, drops of water falling to the ground as the hot steam filled my bathroom. I sighed and walked to the sink, then dropped the towel on the floor and put both hands on the sink marble. I put my head on my shoulders and then looked up at the fogged glass, reached out a hand, and ran it over the mirror. I looked at my reflection and gritted my teeth when a pang of pain in my head hit me.

Kai was giving me no respite, he was filling my head with howls and making me regret being a metamorph.
