Chapter 23: Clarke!

“Heidi, get your voice down!”

Mr. Vampire hurriedly ran toward the wide-opened glass door and shut it, right after that he pulled down the curtain and hid us both in his office, even our shadows couldn’t be seen at the time.

“Are you losing your mind?” He sprinted toward me and pulled my arm so that I can see his face; his voice was louder than it used to be at that moment.

His hazel pupils dilated as he dismays that I will expose his deeds toward me, his fingers wrapped my arm tightly and I swear to Lord, Levi could see the pain in my eyes when he stared at me and it was the pain of hope he gave me, not the pain I got from his grip.

“Did I do something to you?” He inquired then Levi released my arm and finally gave me some relief.

“You still ask?” I scoffed, crossing my arms in disgust after that.
