The End of the Date

It took little time for Rem to do what I had asked him to do, and although confused, Ken continued to lead Sam and himself through the maze by following the few tracks that had been placed here and there. Rem removed any of his own tracks as he went. Meanwhile, Sam and Ken both called out for the young boy, but with no reply, they were worried if they had really got lost or if they had made it out already.

We were nearing the centre of the maze now, and from what Rem had told me, was quite a beautiful sight, perfect for two people to find themselves alone. As the two rounded a corner, I paused and listened intently to make sure they weren’t about to double back or halt. When I was sure they had continued, I carefully snuck my head around the corner and took a sneaky glance.
