27 - Nuts and arrows

The number of tree nuts in each pack varied according to their location. Some packs had only a few that could only be counted by hand, while there were some that surpassed that number, with one pack never being short of it in terms of supply.

Grizel walked to the other servants carrying two baskets filled with their packs’ special treats, mostly made out of nuts from different trees.

Leah, her companion, immediately noticed her. “Grizel! Are you here to help us deliver these food supplies to Alpha’s pack house?”

Grizel smiled, “Oh, no. I just came to drop by these baskets. I’m going to see Sir Jed.”

“Eh, again? I thought he said Alpha Prince Kael can’t accept visitors yet. Wait, don’t tell me, the food you were preparing earlier was for him?” Leah uttered with a gasp.

Grizel didn’t hide the fact at all. She cleared her throat and proudly said, “What’s wrong with sending good food to him? Sir Jed said it’s fine.”

Leah shook her head, “You’re truly mad.”
