Ch. 20

I woke up the next morning ready to go back to in person classes. When I got to class no one gave me side looks or whispered my name to one another. I sat toward the front again just in case Luke showed up. This time he did come. He stopped at the doorway staring at me for a long while before coming in and taking a seat in the back.

I could feel his eyes on me throughout class, but I tried hard to pay him no mind. I kept focused on the professor and our lecture. I bolted out of there the moment the professor said we could leave. I refused to let Luke try to talk to me or corner me somewhere. Charles wasn't happy when I told him Luke was in class today.

"Can't you finish that class online? I am sure Dr Garvey wouldn't mind." Charles didn't want me to be in class with Luke anymore.

"I am not sure, but I don't want Luke to think that he can run me out. Plus we'll more than likely have classes together in the future. I have to deal with this now."
