Damon's POV

At this point, I wouldn’t even lie to myself. That girl called Evie hiked me. I couldn't believe that she had planned to escape from the packhouse. What would have happened if I wasn't around to curb her wings back into the shell where she belonged?

It was a good thing that I was outside when I was or she would have succeeded in her plan. I had gone out because my mind was not settled, and I couldn't bring myself to sleep no matter how hard I tried to go about it.
