Gone.

Damon's POV

I was in the room. I could feel the ominous presence of someone... except that I couldn't see the person. I mean, I couldn't see anyone at all. The only thing that could show that someone was there was the lingering smell of jasmine in the air. I looked around, eager to see who the smell belonged to. But it was almost like the person had vamoosed into thin air.

I refused to believe such a thing. I raced out of the house as fast as I could. I ran around the house to see if I could get a whiff of who the person was. Something in my gut kept telling me that if I could lay my hands on the man, I would be getting the enemy that was after my life. So, I continued to race through the place.

After spending close to an hour searching all over, with no one in sight, I gave up and returned to the cabin. The moment I was in, I went straight to the table that I initially ignored.
