Damon's POV

One thing that finally occurred to me as I watched Alpha River lead Evie away was the fact that they were going to be alone. Behind the closed door, no less.

"Get lost, all of you!" I barked at the Omegas that were still shivering and acting like I was going to kill them off. With the kind of foul temper that I was feeling, even I knew that it was possible I kill them off if I so wished. They all scrambled away from me immediately. I watched as some of them even fell on each other because they all wanted to be out of my sight as soon as possible.

As I was left all alone, my mind was still not at rest. How would I know what those two were talking about? Seeing as how River hated me and how Evie was still afraid of me, I wouldn't be so surprised if those two weren't plotting my demise.

*What if they were doing more than that?* Leo growled in my head. His voice sparked of jealousy that could not be hidden.
