Alpha Damon's POV I had to do something about the pack Elders. It seemed like they were beginning to not take me seriously because they felt that I was no longer the Alpha that they should all fear anymore. I didn't blame them. After all, about three of them had been nothing but rude to me these past few days. Yet, I did nothing to put them in their places. That gave them the gut they needed to call for an emergency meeting without any prior notice to me.What was the reason for the said emergency meeting? Evie's POV I was torn between taking the Alpha's offer or demanding for my freedom. While the thought of being free sounded nice, I knew that I shouldn't be deceived by such a thing. After all, I knew that the outside world would be even harsher than the world that I knew here at the pack. The way everyone would keep coming for my head, especially when they all realized that I didn't know anything about survival rate. When I said survival, I meant a roof over my head, a source of income, and a way to protect myself generally.What they would think, especially men was that I would be easy to pick on since there would be no one to defend me from them. Damon's POV I noticed it first before I saw what was going on. It was from noticing that the hand she had on me had already slacked off before I even saw her on the floor, which made me look for where she was supposed to be. I didn't see her, and my eyes trailed to the floor where I suddenly saw her lying there, unconscious of her environment. Fear gripped me, and I bent low to see what was going on."Evie!" I yelled. Evie's POV All through that day, I refused to return to the mansion. It wasn't until the Alpha sent people after me, with the threat that they would all lose their heads if they didn't come back with me before nightfall amd the information got to me where I was hiding as two maids panicked about the area, that I returned to the place when it was beginning to get dark. The moment I stepped in, I was engulfed in the presence of two almighty Alphas. One was Alpha Damon, and the other was Alpha River. "Damon, you really have to admit that your Omegas are nothing but bunch of useless people." Alpha River began. "Because if they aren't, how can twenty or more than that of them not be able to find one single person?!" Damon's POV One thing that finally occurred to me as I watched Alpha River lead Evie away was the fact that they were going to be alone. Behind the closed door, no less. "Get lost, all of you!" I barked at the Omegas that were still shivering and acting like I was going to kill them off. With the kind of foul temper that I was feeling, even I knew that it was possible I kill them off if I so wished. They all scrambled away from me immediately. Evie's POV All through the night, I couldn't sleep. What was I even saying? I couldn't stay still in a place for five minutes. How could I when my mind was not at peace? The way Alpha Damon had acted so angry at me and Alpha River, I didn't know which one of us he was really angry with. Not even about knowing anymore, I refused to think about his expression twice. With the way the man was refusing to show himself. He didn't return to the mansion to sleep, nor did he bother to send a message about his whereabouts. I was beginning to think that it might be like that because he was thinking about the 101 ways to punish me and make me regret ever existing.By the time the first crow sounded, I couldn't remain still anymore. I was tired of just waiting for the man to hear how he was going to punish me since it seemed that he was back to being his nasty self.
