My eyes never left Iris. She looked so innocent studying on her own, not knowing she was probably in danger.

"What do you want with her? Who is she to you?"

"What I want with her is none of your business. And as for who she is, she's my mate." He blurted and snickered.

"I thought I had lost her for good."

We turned simultaneously to each other. He had a smirk plastered on his ugly face while I held a frown.

"I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I won't be handing any member of my pack to anyone without consent from the demanded person."

He moved away from me and took a seat.

"Fine by me. She'll gladly run to me anyway."
