Chapter~22

IRIS

Staying in my room alone that night bugged the hell outta me. Even though I had locked the door, I was still scared Fenrir would break in. I got up from my bed to make sure I didn't just lock the door in my mind.

Different thoughts and scenes ran through my head as I stared at the locked door. What if he just walks in? What if he breaks the door and barges in and takes me away?

I tried to brush it all off and go to bed but I found myself unlocking the door and locking it back. Just to be sure. I closed all the windows and covered myself. I shut my eyes and forced myself to sleep but the stubborn sleep wouldn't just overtake me.

Just as I was about to turn, I heard the door knob twitching. I ceased my breath and laid still. The sound of feet stepping into the room made me shut my eyes and prayed. I was too scared to move. My eyes caught a glimpse of someone's shadow and I covered my mouth from screaming.

It was already past twelve and there was no one I could call or contact
