Mother Ophra

Karina and Ash's mother, Sabrina, walked into the dark forest with black hoods over their heads, making it difficult to be seen. After a long walk, they came in front of a huge cave illuminating with a red glow from the inside and stopped.

They stripped the hoodies off their heads and ducked a little to get inside the glowing cave. A frail-looking lady with long white hair with silver streaks and long nails sat in the middle of the cave, a round stone shining with magic sitting on her palm.

"You failed! Both of you failed!" She yelled, her hoarse voice making anyone think that she had swallowed a frog with some stones.

"Mother Orphra," they said, bowing slightly, their hands trembling with fear and their legs wobbling.

"You failed!" Mother Ophra screeched like a monstrous bird, her long nails raised as if to scratch them.

"We are sorry, Mother Ophra," Karina mumbled in an apology. "We tried our best, Mother Ophra. We…"

She was cut off. "Is this what you call the best, huh? Go! Go back and make sure that the next time the both of you will be coming here, you will be having the job done!" Mother Ophra screeched once again and threw some gray powder on their faces.

Ouch, my butt!" Karina moaned in pain while holding Sabrina's hand and pulling her to her feet. "I told you. It was a bad idea going to see Mother Ophra," she complained.

"She didn't give us a chance to speak. Trust me, it wouldn't have been a bad idea," Sabrina sighed, leaning against a tree. Mother Ophra had teleported them to a world they had no idea of. It was now their turn to find their way back home.

"I heard Camila is hospitalized." It was Karina who started speaking after a short, heavy silence. "I really hate this girl, no matter how much I made her suffer in the past. She's just like her mother, so stubborn." She gritted her teeth in anger while scratching the tree bark, imagining it to be Camila's face.

Karina and Ash's mother were witches. They were brought into the werewolf world by Mother Ophra many years ago after rumors reached them that a Lycan and a guardian were spared in the fire they had caused and pinned it on the werewolves.

Karina was sent into Alpha Cameroon's life because, after doing their thorough research, they came to the realization that it was Alpha Cameroon's fiance who was a Lycan. Sabrina, on the other end, was sent to tear Ash's family apart.

He was just a four-year-old boy by then. And it was his father who was a guardian. After she succeeded in winning Ash's father's heart, she compelled him into killing his own wife, and she then killed him and ran away with Ash. It was at that time that she met Beta Grill and got married to him.

Karina, on the other hand, also succeeded in ousting Mary, Camila's mother, from Alpha Cameroon's life and also succeeded in killing her. What both of them never expected was for both kids, Ash and Camila, to inherit their parents mythical genes.

When they came to the realization that Camila was a Lycan and Ash was a guardian, they separated them when they were young. Sabrina, being a witch, gave them some food poisoned with herbs that weakened their mate bond.

Karina bullied Camila all her life so that she would get to depend on Ash for food, who in return, without knowing, brought the poisonous food to her. They both always ate it, and the longer they ate it, the fainter their mate bond became.

What they never expected was for both of them to find each other after getting separated. They now had to begin doing the job they had done many years ago. They had to kill Camila and Ash as soon as possible, or else their growth would bring an end to their coven. They knew that it wouldn't take long before they found out that it was the witches who had wiped out their race on earth and not werewolves, as it was said and written.

"I still don't know why Mother Ophra never gave us a chance to speak." Sabrina threw her hands in the air in frustration.

"Please don't mention Mother Ophra's name again because it reminds me of what she has done to us. Where on earth is this place? Even if she had intended to punish us for not doing what we were supposed to do, it's not supposed to be in this way," Karian mumbled while rubbing her elbow.

Although she had fallen on her rear end, her elbow had dug into the groove, thus bruising it in the process. "Damn this Camila. I really wish I could have killed her when she was a kid. It's all your fault," she said, turning to face the frustrated Sabrina.

With her hands akimbo, Sabrina turned to face her with a cold glare: Oh, really, tell me, how is all this my fault?"

"When we were sent for this mission, I had told you we should not only kill Mary and Joseph but their kids too, but what did you do?" She asked, and then pinched her nose while mimicking her, "I know how to deal with these kids. Is this how you dealt with them?" She changed to her normal voice.

"How the hell was I to know that they would find each other and know about their mate bond? Didn't the poison work? Didn't I succeed in weakening their mate bond? Besides, Mother Ophra said the children were to be left alone. It's all her fault!" Sabrina screamed in frustration.

"Still. You should have agreed to my plan, and this day would have never come." Karina complained, and after remembering something, she turned to Sabriaa and said," There is something I don't get, though: why is Camila hospitalized?" She asked. Before she left home, she had seen on the news that Her Majesty was hospitalized.

She had wanted to know more about her sudden sickness, but Sabrina came from nowhere, asking her to accompany her to Mother Ophra. She had refused because she knew Mother Ophra would lash out at them for not fulfilling their mission, but she was stubborn and had insisted.

"How would I know?" Sabrina rolled her eyes in annoyance. "Am I not present in this place with you? Why are you asking me?"

Their little banter was brought to a halt by an approaching figure. A tall, huge man with long beards that reached his knees and long hair that flowed down to his chest and his ass approached. He was carrying a huge axe blade on his right arm, which glowed purple.

"Who…who are you?" Karina asked in fear, her voice waving a little. The man didn't answer them but approached, his feet thudding on the ground.

"Who are you, and what do you want?" Sabrina cried after Karina nudged her to say something.

With a smirk on his gothic-looking face, the man stopped at their feet and looked at them as if they were ants, and with a loud thundering voice that would weaken anyone's knees, he raised the axe he was holding and drew it downwards, aiming their heads, and said, "No one intrudes into my land and goes out alive."
