I started driving home when I came up with a plan to try and sneak into Dimietry’s lair and sneak David out without getting noticed. I would put on a cloaking spell and sneak through the entrance, hiding behind every rock and wall I could find. Then I would wait for the coast to be clear and take David out of his restraints before putting a cloaking spell on him. By the time they would notice his disappearance; we’d be long gone and off to safety. The more I thought about this plan, the more ridiculous it seemed. I didn’t even think there was such a thing as a cloaking spell, let alone sneaking in there without the changelings noticing my scent.

I drove home as fast as I could, thinking that I would know what to do when I got there. There wasn’t much time to prepare anything and every idea I had seemed to be flawed.
