“How did you find us?” His face had a dark shadow hovering over his face while looking at the adviser in front of him.

It was as if his energy was seeping out of his body again. Though he had a straight face, his nerve-racking cold stare seem to cut through the old man’s composed demeanor.

Lord Slog swallowed hard, trying to sway his thoughts on the beads of sweat that were starting to slide down his forehead, wanting to keep face and remain with a steel and hardy composure.

“The wizards noticed your energy rampaging nearby. We were wary at first but when we noticed a pattern, the commander finally decided to investigate,” he says, remaining perfectly still in place.

The two of them were sitting on different sides of the carriage, facing each other. The adviser felt like he was on the losing side of a battle at that moment, seeing those sharp, narrowing eyes at him.
