Chapter XLVIII

The wind was rampaging outside, it gave a foreboding whistle to whoever would dare to go outside like death, taunting them. There was not an inch of water but the gale outside was able to make hollowed tree trunks flew by like they weighed nothing. Tornadoes could be seen reaching the skies, connecting the earth to it.

Karilaya swallowed hard as she watched from inside the cave, the inner earth was deep enough to protect them and the hill that they were in had huge stone formations that seem to keep everything in place, making it seem like a fortress from the wildness of the outside.

She looked at the flames that were starting to die out, eating away at the last piece of wood that she salvaged a while ago as it managed to get thrown inside the cave.

Clasping onto the captains' cape she could not help but keep his eyes on the entrance of the cave, biting her lips when every now and then the biting coldness would sweep inside the place, causing her whole
