CHAPTER FORTY SIX.

Nathan was seated casually in the living room when his mum and Audrey walked up to him all dressed up and for the first time, he had a sad look on his face and the two women understood why he looked like that. This was the first time Audrey was going to leave after she came back and he was not taking it lightly.

“Baby” his mum called out and he turned his attention to the voice, “ we are ready to leave now” she added.

“Can I have a word with Nessa, alone?” Nathan asked.

“Sure” Mrs Hernandez replied before making her way towards the porch while Audrey went to sit beside him and before she could say anything, he pulled her into his embrace.

“Are you okay?” She had to ask, “do you feel sick or something?”

“Will you be back?”

“What?” She wasn’t sure why he was asking that but for the first time, Audrey could see the fear radiating from him.

“Will you come back after the exhibition?” He asked again, “I fear that you may not come back Nessa and I don’t think I ever want to live without you,
