I DARE YOU.

Looking seemingly ready to tell the truth to anyone, Meri walked out of Derrick's room but was shocked when Derrick blocked her way from nowhere when she actually just left him in the room.

"Y..o..u...you move in thin air too!" she trembled cos she found it hard to swallow. "T-these people are so dangerous. I must tell Edward about this, but how, when he's blocked my way and yet I don't know this house so well."she thought a million possibilities but nothing seemed to work for her at a time. "I think I should scream out for help."she breathed with courage this time before shouting at the top of her lungs which still looked like she had done nothing cos no one came to her rescue.

"What did you think, that I'll let you ruin our plans so easily, huhh! It doesn't work like that with us here madam. We're extraordinary and everyone knows that. So, I'm advising you to just let us be if you really still need to see your precious daughter alive. I'm not threatening you or what, I'm only telling you the truth because if you mess with me and spoil today's party, I'm afraid you might end up losing your family and I don't wish to see you shout for real this time.

You'll be mourning in doubles, crying for two people which is in doubles as well, not forgetting cursing yourself in doubles over this mistake that you're able to do. You know I can do anything if the need calls for me to. Do you remember the man who brought you a proposal at night, it was my uncle... I know you still remember how strongly he held your tiny hand, don't you? Then imagine him using the same muscular hands to tilt and turn your daughter's neck around. I'm sure you'll enjoy watching her die a very painful death, won't you? And as for your husband, I think I'll kill him myself because I don't think I have anything I share with him. Don't worry because no one will trouble you at all, you'll stay alive and live with this regret and guilt for the rest of your days madam. So, think wisely before taking any step forward. That's my advice though."Derrick said and went back to his room, leaving Meri to decide for herself.

He was sure that his threats would work no matter what because no mother would choose to act stubborn and land her child in danger.

Meanwhile Meri walked with fallen face downstairs where everyone seemed to be enjoying the party except her. She was lost in thoughts, that man's words kept playing in her mind. She was wondering what she should and shouldn't do. Keeping quiet would be like pushing her daughter into hell and telling the truth...that would really be a disaster. "What do I do now Lord. I can't just stand watching my daughter get married into this horrible family and moreso, I can't let them kill my family either.

Why are you making me helpless Lord?"she would cry inwardly.

Looking at how strange and pale her mom looked, Lala figured there was something bothering her, so she took her aside and inquired about the issue but afraid of Derrick's threats, Meri said nothing but lies.

"I'm having a severe headache. I think it's because of all this loud music."she lied.

"Oh sorry Mom. Let me get you a glass of water."

"Okay dear."

It didn't take long before Lala showed up with a glass of water in her hands. "I think we should move out for a while. You'll be fine out there."she suggested.

"Alright then."

"Watching Lala and Meri walk outside the house, Derrick's heart pounded so faster. He wondered what could have happened that the two of them were leaving. "Wait! Did this woman say anything to Lala. Is she this careless and irresponsible that she's willing to put her daughter's life in danger only to expose us?

Oh no, this can't be happening. I thought I didn't have to erase her memory and that my threats would work but I guess I was wrong, that woman is not as naive as she looks to be.

I have to do something."Derrick found himself panicking for no reason.

"What's Lala holding in her hands? Are they thieves too! Yes, I can see she's stealing our glass. I think I should make it an issue out of this."he thought and was interrupted by the knock on the door again.

"What is it now. I hope you aren't here to land me in trouble again."he was venting his frustration on just an echo.

(knock knock!), the sound of the knock was irritating him too. "Can you please come in."he said without realizing it was his brother Heron, who was going to be the real groom for Lala according to their plan.

Hello Derrick. How are you."

"I'm fine brother. I hope everything is happening according to our plan, downstairs."

"Of course they're. I came over only to say thank you. I must appreciate the efforts you're busy giving in to help me take my revenge. I'm so grateful to have a bestie like you. You know, when I thought of taking my revenge on that good for nothing man, I almost gave up knowing that I wouldn't be able to accomplish it and then you stepped in to help.

I thought you'd reach some point and give up because of the love you have for Lala but you keep on proving me wrong. Thank you for not letting your love be your weakness. I promise I will return your love, Lala after inflecting the pain on her brother's heart. But before then, let Lala be my puppet."

"There's no point in discussing this brother. I'm trying however I can to help you but please, stop making it difficult for me by reminding my heart that it beats for Lala, please. I'm only doing this because mother asked me to. I'm not doing it that I'm enjoying it. I simply hate the fact that my destiny isn't fair."
