Klaire's POV

"What are your plans now?" Leonel asked me while we're on our way back to the pack.

"Uhm, we were actually talking about it earlier. I am planning on being a student."

His right hand gave my hand a squeeze. "That's great! You're still young and it's never too late to achieve your dreams. What course will you take?"

I begin to play with his fingers and gnash my teeth. "I want to be an elder, Leonel."

"Oh." He exclaimed and glanced at me before focusing his attention on the road. "That is surprising, I guess. May I ask why?"

"I want to be the voice of my fellow omegas. I know they seldom hire omegas and they seldom pass the board, but I want to give it a try. I want to make them proud. I want to prove to everyone that we can do it. And our status won't hinder us."
