River of Test

ATHENA'S POV

I fluttered my eyes open as I came back to consciousness. Although, it didn't make any difference, but I could feel I was in a different world.

I managed to stand to my knees, and coughed out. Then I used my hand to touch the ground, in search of my cane.

“Here, Athena.” Daniel handed over the cane to me.

Then I collected it, and leaned on it to stand.

“Thanks. Are… are we there yet?” I asked, out of curiosity.

“Yes, we are.”

“Alright then. So, what's next?”

“We have to walk a bit further, and we'll know where next to go.” Daniel responded, and he held my hand as we moved slowly.

I was more anxious at the moment. I knew we were already at the land of fear and as we were moving futher and deeper into the land, anything scary could come up.

I still felt insecure, despite the fact that Daniel was with me. What was I going to do if something huge comes our way? Just run?

Or what if Daniel felt that he was too slow because of me, and then decided to leave me.
