The Feeling

TRISTAN'S POV.

I couldn't help but feel a little anxious as Athena opened her eyes, slowly. She closed them back immediately as the light was probably too bright, but as she did, there was a light, tickly feeling in my breath.

I held my breath, waiting for her to look at me, to see me, to acknowledge me, and I wondered what truly looking at her for the first time would feel like

What exactly was I going to feel?

Athena blinked a few times, and opened her eyes slowly.

Her eyelashes lifted in our direction, and her warm brown eyes brushed over us, but she didn't see me. She didn't stare at me directly, but the look of unbelief which spread on her face, followed by her gasp, confirmed that she could see.

She looked past me, and her eyes watered. She could see. Athena could finally see. She was finally going to regain some of the old confidence she used to have.

What would it be like with her being able to see?
