Blue's Pov;
"Why... why is this empty? Not even a single gold or silver coin? This, it can't be right." Rose mumbled, walking around the big store room crazily. She just can't believe that the lords she trusted so much are actually snakes in disguise. "I guess the lords have been busy filling up their pockets," Wilder voiced, standing right beside me. "I guess so." I nodded in agreement, "but what I do not understand, is why they need to fill up their pockets with such an amount of money." "The tax ledger had so much money recorded on it, enough to be distributed among thousands if not millions of men." Sarah chipped in. What she said gave me an instant idea... one that was still forming up a little in my head. But first... I turned to stare at the accountant, but he wasn't in the room, neither was he anywhere to be found. When did he leave? "What is it?" Wilder asked. "The accountant, he is gone." I pointed out, walking out of the treasury room, but I still couldn't find the accountant. "He definitely hasn't gotten far. I will be back." Wilder informed me, then super sped away without giving me a chance to respond. In no time, he was back with his fingers latched onto the accountant's clothes, and then he shoved the man to the ground before my feet. "Please forgive me, your majesty." The man cried out, crawling over to my legs with haste. I moved back, "don't you dare touch me with your filthy hands!" I growled. "Please, please spare me, please spare me. No, no, no I deserve to die, I deserve.. I deserve to die." He stuttered, lying flat on the ground. "Then I shall grant you death," Wilder remarked. He grabbed the man by the neck and was about to hurl him across the treasury room, when the man yelled. "THE LORDS!! THEY MADE ME DO IT!!" He screamed at the top of his lungs, and so Wilder released him, shoving him to the ground once more. "Where is all the treasure, the money, gold, diamonds, silver... where is everything?" I asked him, crossing my hands on my chest. "I... I... I don't know. They never told me." He stammered, beads of sweat forming at the top of his head. "You want me to believe that you are not an accomplice, is that it?" "Yes... yes... yes, your majesty. I was only told to record, I... I... have no idea of the location of the treasure or anything pertaining to it." The man's words were rushed as he pleaded for his life. "Do you believe he is saying the truth? Or do you want me to torture him?" Wilder asked, staring at the man with distrust. "For now... yes." I replied Wilder, crouching down in front of the accountant. "But, if his tongue is at least precious to him, he will divulge a useful piece of information by the time we are done inspecting the food storage." I stared straight into the man's eyes with great intensity, then stood up on my feet. "Take us to the food storage." "Yes, yes your highness." The man scurried up to his feet, and with the man walking in front of us, we all exited the storage room, and we arrived at the food storage, which wasn't so far from the treasury. "For ninety percent tax, the food storage is a bit disappointing." I let out. There really isn't much food in the storage, but it's just enough to feed the king and the workers in the palace. "I agree. I had always wanted to come in here, to see the amount of food stored in here but, Mr Atticus would never let me in." Rose mumbled, glaring at the accountant who I believe is known as-- Mr Atticus. "Staring at it for long won't change the contents of the store room," Wilder pointed out. And I nodded in reply. We all exited the storage room, and then I turned to stare at Mr Atticus, my hands enveloped in my flames. "So tell me Mr Atticus, do you really need your tongue to speak?" "Uhm, plea..." "Burn his tongue, Blue. He doesn't have anything for you," Wilder remarked. "No.. wait. I.. I have something." "Then out with it!" I uttered, impatiently. "There's a rumor going about... that... that the lords are forming up an army. I have no idea if this is true, but that's all I have, your highness. Please, spare my tongue." "An army." I repeated, thinking deeply of his words. Earlier in the treasure room, I had suspected that the lords needed the ninety percent tax for something big, and an army... is definitely something big if not bigger. "But that can't be possible. What would they need an army for?" Rose asked no one in particular. "Maybe to dethrone the king," Sarah expressed. "Makes a lot of sense, they would do anything to get me off the throne." Wilder discerned. "And anything, includes- growing a large army in secret!" I exclaimed, with a lot of conviction for the unverified rumors. "Now, how do we find a large army in hiding?" "Leave it to me." Wilder voiced, and without a moment of delay he disappeared. "So.. I'm guessing he went to look for the secret army, right?" Sarah asked out loud. "Yeah. I guess." I nodded in reply. "So what do we do now?" Rosemary asked. "We wait. And for the main time... GUARDS!!" I screamed at the top of my lungs, and in a few seconds about four guards rushed into the storage room. "Take him away, and lock him up. He is guilty of deceiving the king, and so... he won't see the sunlight till the day he dies." With my order received by the guards, they bowed their heads, then grabbed a pleading Mr Atticus and dragged him away. Sarah, Rosemary and I... waited patiently for Wilder to return. And about an hour later, Wilder appeared back before me. With an inquisitive mind, I asked him... "So, is there really an army or is it just nothing but groundless rumors?" Wilder closed the gap between us, his breath intensified. "What punishment would you love to bestow on the Lords, My queen?" "What?" "I found them, Blue." A grin spread across his lips, as he gazed into my eyes with victory. "The army, I found them."Blue's POV"I found them, Blue." I heard Wilder say, grinning from ear to ear, and oozing with so much pride and enthusiasm. Not that I was bothered about the army, but I knew we had to do something about them. We have to play this game of chess properly, or we will be kicked right out of it."Okay. Give me some minutes to think of the next step." I uttered. And as if I had said something completely bad, I watched as Wilder's enthusiastic expression sank at once. He suddenly looked confused. Like there was something about this situation he wanted me to address. Something I was not doing."What?" I asked, raising an eyebrow."Er, think? I thought we were just supposed to like kill them all, to avoid them being a threat to us later. Then maybe we can keep about two or three alive to tell the tale of their survival to the rest." He paused and walked towards me. It was a bad time to flirt, but the way his eyes stared into the depths of my soul made me shiver in excitement. I wanted to
Wilder's POVI fixed my gaze on Blue, with a lot of thoughts running through my head. I stared at her with concentrated gaze, as I watched her munch delightfully on the pears.I asked her what she wanted, that I would give anything to her... anything she asked for— ironically, Blue only wanted me to get her some pears. "Why pear? A fruit? How could it be the only thing you could ask for?" I asked, my voice slicing through the quiet atmosphere that was only filled with Blue's happy humming.She shrugged, picking up another pear from the silverware. "Pear was my favorite fruit as a child, but since I was locked up... I never had the chance to have it again. Simply because it was too big of a fruit for Sarah to sneak into my cage." "Then I shall ask the kitchen to bring you a whole sack." Her eyes grew wider in complete astonishment, "Really?""What no. I was... would you really eat a sack of pear?" I asked with bewildered eyes. She stared at me for a second long, then laughed. "Of
Blue's POV"Say hi to your mother for me, Francis, and also, take this money, in case she ever needs more medicine." I offered him some coins, crouching down before him, while smiling lovingly at him. "I can't accept your generosity, My Lady." Francis responded, refusing to accept the coins. "Because of your kindness, my mother has much more drugs than she could finish." He smiled at me gratefully, then wrapped his arms around my neck."Thank you, your highness. You are the best queen ever!" He pecked me lightly on the cheeks, before taking his arms off my neck. "And you are the best gentleman ever." "Francis!! Francis! Francis!" At first the calling of Francis' name was distant, but soon it sounded louder and much louder. "Mother!" Francis exclaimed, running off to hug his mother. I stood up, and watched as she scolded him for staying out too long. "Sorry, it's all my fault. He was with me." I apologized, walking closer to her. Francis' mother stared at me intensely, and her on
Blue's POV"The air was filled with romance, the stars in the skies were endless, and I was in Wilder's arms, both of us staring at the beautiful lit-up skies. Everything was just so perfect and right, that I didn't know when I confessed my feelings to him." "What? You confessed? How? What did you say?" Sarah asked rapidly, with much interest. "I said the three words." I nearly choked on my words, as the memories of last night sneaked its way into my head. Sarah gasped in shock, while Rose stared at both of us, confused... "What are the three words, and why is it shocking she said them?" She asked, staring at Sarah."You don't know the famous three words?" Sarah asked her, now more shocked that Rose had no idea what my words meant. "If I knew it, I would not be asking." Rose rolled her eyes, frowning upon the fact that Sarah now sees her as a lesser knowledgeable person."I told the king that I love him." I said, clearing the air for Rose."Awwwn, that's a good thing. That is wond
Blue's POV;"He is coming, he is coming to get me. I don't know who he is or what he is. But I know, he would come get me. You should leave Sarah, run as far as you can get. If you don't, he would burn you together with this temple." I whispered, my voice hoarse. "And why does this powerful stranger want to rescue you?" Sarah asked, wiping my hands clean with a towel. She doesn't believe me. I can't blame her for that. What possibly could a blind chained girl know?"I don't know. I don't know why he needs or wants to rescue me, but what I do know is that he would come. My flames can sense him." "Do you know what I think?" She sighed. I could picture her frowning as she said her next words, "I think spending thirteen years in a cage, with no one to talk to has messed up with your head, and your flames." She exhaled even more, her hands reaching out to cup my cheeks... but sadly the metallic helmet covering every bit of my face, stood in the way of her affectionate hands. "I feel sa
Wilder's POV;"How do you know my name?" I asked, shocked that she knows my identity. "My flames, they told me." She answered, her eyes staring into mine. Then I had a realization, "you can't see me?""She's blind. And.. you are the man she's been talking about. You are real." The screaming lady said, standing right outside the cage. "I thought she was going mad.""What? You didn't tell me that she is blind." I uttered, staring at Hershel ignoring the lady."I had no idea, sire." He responded, bowing slightly. "Someone is coming, we should leave." Blue muttered, and I carried her up in my arms immediately, and together we walked out of the cage. We were about leaving the dungeon when the screaming lady said... "I'm coming too." "No, Sarah. You can't. Go live your life. Be happy." Blue countered, as I turned around to face Sarah."No princess, I'm coming with you. How can I live my life, without knowing how you are faring or if you are being treated well. Besides, I do not trust hi
Blue's POV:"I don't like him. Princess. He is dangerous and I can tell." Sarah expressed worriedly, pacing around restlessly.Wilder had taken us to his pack, Night Shade Pack. And a maid led us to the room, that Wilder prepared for me. "How many stairs did we had to climb down, before getting to this room?" I asked, sitting up on the bed, ignoring her restless chants. She halted, "About four. Why do you ask?" "Does this mean our bedroom is like— underground?" "Yes it is." She answered, unsure of where I was headed."What! We are underground???" "Yes we are,. What's wrong with that?" "I don't want to be hidden, Sarah. I have been hidden all my life, and I am not about to continue living that way. I want to be out there in the open!" I declared frowning, folding my hands below my chest. "Are you not listening to me, Blue? We have been taking by a man who we don't even know, what he wants with you, and he has a freaking black hole in his chest!" She paused, "And if he's truly the
Blue's POV;"I can't believe him, Sarah! He is the most annoying human on earth. I hate him!" I exclaimed, pacing around the room angrily. "Who are we talking about?" Sarah asked. "Wilder Reagan." I groaned in annoyance. "Okay... why do you hate him?"I halted, turning to face her. "He threatened to kill you." "What?" She yelled, standing up from the couch she was sitting on. I snapped my fingers, "Exactly! And why? Because I simply requested to have a room up there." I pointed up at the ceiling, "I would have burnt him with my flames, but he has no soul." Or should I perhaps, cut off his head? Nah, he is definitely a skilled warrior and I have no skill in fighting."No soul!" Sarah repeated in exclamation. "I knew it! He is indeed a dangerous man.""Yes he is. He is very dangerous, and if I am not careful I might end up have S. E. X with him.""S. E. X? Sex? You want to have sex with him?" She yelled at the top of her voice, sounding confused. "I think so Sarah. I mean— his vo
