Rowan and I stared at each other awkwardly while our baby seemed fascinated by her father's unruly stubble.

The rest of them who had been making a ruckus in the living room had scurried into the kitchen and was probably eavesdropping on us.

"How have you been?" I decided that I had given him the silent treatment for long enough and decided to break the ice.

"Uh... G-good. Good." He stumbled over his words, seeming as nervous as a socially awkward nerd. But that was not the man I knew him to be - Rowan Keller did not stutter.

"And you?" He asked after a few moments of silence.

"I have been regaining my memories," I confessed. He did not have the need to know that but I assumed that if I told him that I was getting back the lost days then he might reveal some other truth that he had omitted.

"That's fantastic news, Ro- Aurora. I am so glad for you."

Either he was genuine or he was that good of an actor.

I wanted to believe the latter. I had been betrayed by him j
